Common questions

Why does Tallymile ask for location access set to Always?
So it can record your drives without you opening the app. With While Using the App, it only records while Tallymile is open.
Why does it ask for Motion & Fitness access?
Motion tells it when a drive starts, so it doesn't have to run GPS all day. This saves battery.
Where are my trips stored?
On your iPhone. Tallymile has no account and no server, and trips are never uploaded. See the privacy policy.
How do I give my mileage log to my accountant?
Export the log from the Year screen and share it the way you choose, for example by email or AirDrop.
What does the coverage number mean?
It is the share of the distance on your odometer that has a trip logged against it. If it's below 100%, some driving was missed, and the Drives screen shows how much.
